Hi Watch Fam,
I am selling my recently acquired and excellent condition vintage Bulova. This watch dates to 1962 (case back and movement is stamped M2), appears to be all original and best of all, comes with an original and awesomely vintage Bulova box. I picked this up (along with many other watches during this stay-at-home period) but realized that while it is an awesome watch, it is not likely to get any wrist time. Figured it deserves someone who will give it a lot more wear than I will.
I was particularly enamored with the font of the applied numerals and the typography of the watch with the curve 4, open 6 and 9. It measures 35mm in diameter (w/o crown) which wears beautifully as a modern dress watch. It is pictured on my 6.75’ wrist for reference. The bracelet that comes with it is a JB Champion flex bracelet that matches the color perfectly but I wanted to be transparent that it is not original to the watch.
Operationally, the watch winds smoothly with a surprisingly tactile feel, and overall, the crown action feels very secure. In terms of time keeping I have not worn it long enough to time it but on the wrist for a few hours, it keeps good time and the power reserve was great as well.
Looking for $375 plus PayPal fees. Happy to meet in person in NYC. Shipping in the continental U.S. is on me. I have many references on WUS that you can search so deal with confidence.
