Helson first released the original Gauge with just 25 pieces. It had a monocoque Ti case, with plain bronze bezel, massive sapphire crystal and a hidden/recessed crown, that had a special tool for setting and winding the watch. The watch was and still is thoroughly unique. And at 3500m WR it made a huge statement in the world of dive watches.
I am selling my Gauge from this release #12. I have mixed feelings about selling it, but my house needs a new furnace....
Inside the watch is a ETA 2824-2 movement which runs strongly and smoothly. The watch comes in its original portfolio style zippered case which Helson used before the black plastic tubes. This watch is rare, very collectible and is in excellent condition ( see pictures). It came with a black ISOfrane style strap with signed buckle. Years later I purchased the signed bronze buckle pictured. Own a piece of horological microbrand history !!
